i was doing some work yesterday when faiz came to me and ask if its ok if i were to break fast with her and nana (she's dramatic becoz she said i was gonna miss dad's cooking). of course its ok. initially we had planned to go to keramat - a stall that sells siamese food called pakapao a.k.a paprik among other dishes (i can't recall the name of the stall). i gave nana the directions on how to get there as it is a bit secluded and for those who are not familiar, getting there will be quite tricky when suddenly, about an hour n a half before leaving the office, i thought about old town kopitiam. earlier, faiz had asked me to suggest any restaurants around wangsa maju but at that time, i cudn't imagine any nice place for breaking fast. the thought of old town automatically makes me crave for the curry mee and for faiz, its the nasi lemak with rendang ayam. we managed to persuade nana and we all agreed to meet at alpha angle.
we had about two hours before breaking fast so after making our reservation at the kopitiam, we meet up with nana and went for a stroll at the ramadhan bazaar outside the mall. as it is a ritual to buy some kuih for berbuka, we got ourselves some karipap kentang, cucur badak and kuih pelita. had we walked further into the bazaar, we would've have bought a lot more so we decided to head back to the mall and did some window shopping (how i wish i could buy the estee lauder make up set - its a steal!).
an hour before breaking fast, we settled at the kopitiam (penat la jalan bnyk2 time puase especially when we're running flat). we ordered dishes of our choices and there was a lot of chit-chatting going on while flipping through the pages of nana's KLUE and DEWAN MASYARAKAT. before we know it, our food were served as it was nearing berbuka time. its nice of the kopitiam to provide us with complimentary mango juice (had we known drinks were provided, x perlu la order drinks becoz we had a hard time finishing our drinks).
seperti puase yang lepas, nana cudn't finish her food (ada selera but small tummy capacity). me and faiz managed to finish ours but i struggled with my drinks. after dinner, we relaxed for a while becoz with our tummy filled to the brim, we couldn't walk to our cars immediately. we went separate ways around quarter past eight. when i reached home nobody was around so i went to check out what my dad cooked for the day - it was assam pedas and he had put aside telur ikan for me! how i wish i cud eat it last nite but i was too full and so for sahur tis morning, dats what i had - yummy :)
