my long hol have finally came to an end - im back at work today. i was dragging my feet earlier but im fine now as work load is still reasonable. anyway, my hari raya was fine. tis time, i balik kampung but didn't stay at granma's but managed to meet most of my relatives (those whom i know of their existence only). there's of course the difference compared to prev rayas because tis time around, im no longer entitled to duit raya sebab dh keje and instead, i got the oppurtunity to give out some. ade rase mcm santa claus version melayu. the day before i left for kampung, i visited my granma in subang since i wont be able to meet her on hari raya itself. how i wish for her to be at her own place so all could be like the old days.

as usual, come hari raya and i become the eating machine. on the first day of raya alone, i visited not less than 5 houses and at each and every house, there are different delicacies so in order not to hurt anybody's feelings, makan lar. dat nite, i invited my couz to keep me company and we went swimming and it was freezing cold and right after, i had double cheese burger which was heavenly. filled to the brim and tired from waking up early so that nite i had a good nite sleep.

the following days was filled with jalan2, makan2. i'd say raya for me now is different, the spirit of raya wasn't like wen i was younger (not dat im old). i wudn't say im the Grinch of Aidilfitri, i hope i dun get dat far but i only appreciate certain raya traditions, the religious part remains.
