believe it or not, today is already d 10th day of syawal and yes, before you realize it'd be gone again. by now, those who knows me well wud know dat im not much of a raya person tho im also not really d grinch of raya (walaupun terasa sedikit like d green creature). as age catches up, d fun fades away partly because some of my loved ones are no longer around. for me, the past few years and even this year wasnt fit for celebration as every time ramadhan n syawal greets, itd be one of the saddest period of my life because i'd terribly miss those i've grown attached to but they're no longer around. every now and then, id choke on my breath whenever i think of em but of course i've moved on, i just never got over it prolly never coz dats just d way it is.

as for raya this year, everything was done moderately from preparation to celebration. d best part for me was getting together with loved ones and relatives and as ironic as it might sound, giving out duit raya is actually fun. when you hand out the packet and the receiving end shyly accepts it with a smile and 'thank you', dats satisfaction for me. but of course, receiving duit raya is "fun-ner" and i got a few packets myself. all in all it has been a good raya with minor setbacks but it was all beyond my control so hopefully in years to come, insyaAllah, i'll only remember the good stuffs bout this years celebration. and if its still not too late, i'd like to wish everyone Eid Mubarak.
