back when i was still schooling, i have friends who'd refer to me for word meanings, not that i was so good at it, but i always have a way of determining what a word is supposed to mean especially if put in a context. the good thing about this was, i too get to learn new words whenever a friend asks me. now that i find myself not reading, not learning - im afraid my vocab would shrink and this morning while i was reading an interesting article on employee retention, i thought i should start picking up new words to use (otherwise i'd forget it all over again).

my aim is to keep abreast of the common jargons used in the business world, so i dont look like an idiot when im speaking to really "smart" people. in my line of work, it's important to be able to communicate effectively and to begin with, if i could push myself up a notch, i'd be proud of myself.

i guess i dont totally despise learning, i only hate school. there's a saying that "education knows no age" so cheers to continuous learning!
