who doesnt like big (or bigger) stuff rite? like a bigger pay cheque, a bigger house, a bigger car, a bigger handbag (hints) and such but we always forget to enjoy the lil things. the fact that you have less cash than you want teaches you to prioritize, a small house means less area to clean up, a smaller car means less fuel and easier to maneuver, but of course lar a small bag nanti tak muat barang.
once in a while, we should look upon our lives, and think of the things that we should all be grateful for. especially of our loved ones and the lovely people around us (walaupun boleh dikira guna jari) because often we forget of the difference they make in our lives. the roof over our head, the food on our table even if its not our favourite, the clothes we have on despite it not being the most flattering, and the money we have in our pocket even if they're just coins. without these lil things, life could be far worse because someone out there doesn't even have any of these things that we forgot appreciate.
being grateful is never easy. of course when we compare ourselves to the less fortunate, we would be glad for all the things that we have. but let's try to be grateful without making the small feels smaller, because at the end of the day, everything here, all that we have is just temporary. so if we make sure all the lil things in life that makes us happy is being carefully thought of and appreciated, perhaps life wouldn't seem so bad after all because people out there with the big stuffs that we envy, might not have these lil things that we do to brighten up their lives.
(just a thought and a self reminder)
