we are aware that it is the monsoon season on this part of the world now - hot days, wet nights. as usual and as forecasted, it will last up til early next year. never mind dat, i like rain because i cant stand too much heat so all i have to do is keep an umbrella with me everywhere i go.

since it rains on most eves, especially wen its nearing goin home time, i predict the traffic jam for the next couple of months will be a bit worse compared to dry days. gonna have to get use to dat. but i hope to not go to 'ipoh' everyday.

yesterday eve the rain was exceptionally heavy. the down pour started around 4pm, it was really dark outside and because of dat, come 530, i decided to wait a bit longer hoping for d rain to subside a lil before heading home. 35 mins after dat, it was still the same so i grabbed my umbrella and call faiz to join me. you see, i dun get to park my car in the building so my car is parked at the opposite-side-of-the-road office building and its about 10mins walk from my office. the rain was still heavy but i managed to get to d car without getting drenched.

by the time i got inside the car it was already 620. as usual, from the main road i will make a left turn into a short cut. there are two traffic lights so when i got to the first one,i didnt see any car turning left, where i was going. so as i turned left, i saw a few cars stranded in a pool of water. BANJIR. i consider myself quite lucky dat time because i managed to make a u-turn quickly because there was no other car behind. at dat particular crossroad, left is a no-no because of rising water on the road so i had to turn right into jln tun razak and joined the massive traffic (fyi, jln tun razak hari x hujan pun mmg bnyk keta, hari hujan jgn ckp la). at the junction before bkt bintang, i had to u-turn because im headed for jln ampang - another course of jam on jln tun razak. by the time i got to the traffic light at ampang park, it was 715. d traffic light area is one of a hell because there was no traffic officer on duty, so everybody was driving like maniacs. i was stranded long enough to think that had i stopped by at pizza hut ampang park, my pizza would've been ready. i managed to turn into jln ampang by 730 and due to the countless junctions on dat particular road, it took me 30mins to get to jelatek junction. im not proud of this, but yesterday i was unimaginably selfish on d road. it was raining, and everyone else was as impatient as i was, and i was tired of sitting in d car for so long therefore, its my right of way all the way home!

by d time i got home, it was 830. damn i was so stressed out dat it took me an episode of FRIENDS on tv to cool me off. in case you dont travel up north often, it normally takes 2hours to cruise down to ipoh, and yesterday i felt like i was driving to 'ipoh'...
