two weeks ago, my dearly beloved grandmother passed away which still leaves an effect on me dat wenever i thnk of her, i'd miss her presence not dat i used to see her everyday, but knowing dat she was around in case i ever needed her. selfish as i may sound, she was my source of reference for many many things, perhaps some might not understand because ur mothers are still around.
last night, my uncle passed away. not a distant relative, but my father's brother. if i'm not mistaken, he's d 3rd out of 15 siblings and i haven't had d chance to ask my father how old he really was. as far as i could remember, he has been suffering from a few illnesses including diabetes and stroke. i believe he's in a better place now without the sufferings of illnesses. d news didn't really came as a shock to me because although i normally don't visit, i was aware of his condition. and so last night, after picking my bro at the train station, i went home to have a bite and then went to pay my last respect at my cousin's place nearby. call me heartless, but i wasn't moved to tears although i feel teribbly sorry for my aunt.
i'm not sure if death comes with some sense of relief, but for some, it's possible. think about it, it's heartbreaking to see a person suffer from unbearable or even worse, uncurable pain, wer u'd constantly hope dat u could do sumtin to help ease d suffering and it wud only stop at dat. when God takes d person away from us, of course we'd mourn but wat wud be more tragic than having to suffer for a long time?
d loss of loved ones will never be easy on anybody because we are all innately selfish, wanting everything put nicely together but then again, not only it doesn't happen in real life, it doesn't even happen on screen where it all comes down to d cycle of life.
