day 2
tis was d most anticipated day of all because it was snorkeling day. we got up early only to freshen up a lil and then started lathering loads of sunblock (metholatum spf 130++ hebat ok!). wen we were ready, we went down to haf breakfast which was like refuelling for some strenuous activity (ye ke?). among things i had was d omelette which covered my week's intake and some sausages to go with it. i was done when 'somebody' jus got down to take his breakfast (hehe).

as we were waiting under d shades on d deck in front of d resort, i felt a lil nervous. im not scared of fishes, but d tot of them going against my skin or nibbling on me (like d fish spa) was quite a turn off. geli is word to describe it. anyway, der were easily 15 of us going on dat snorkeling trip dat day so d boat was quite big. all 7 of us sat at d back of d boat, with one caucasian couple.

our first stop was d coral point. i was really hoping not to see any big fishes and my prayers were answered. but d corals was a dissapointment. mostly white (like d pieces u find on d shores) with very lil blue and purple corals. d irish guy we met on d first day said corals in perhentian is d best (ye ke??). anyway, i enjoyed being towed by one beach boy while holding on to floater. he took me around a few big table corals and showed me some clown fish and sea cucumber. after about 30mins, we all hopped onto our boat again and proceed to our next stop...

which is d turtle point. according to our conductor, we have to swim really fast to catch (sight) of d turtle. once we got around d area, d boat slowed down and one man jumped into d water to start scanning for any sign of turtle and once he gave d thumb up, everyone started jumping off d boat. since im not a swimmer, i decided not to go after d turtle, which also swam away from d shock of a whole boat jumping after it. tis was definitely an energy drainer for those who tried to catch it. but d conductor said we'd try catching it again later. when they returned to d boat, we proceeded d 'dangerous' spot of all.

d third stop was d shark point. tis time our instructor said we had to swim fast in case d shark came after us. d instructor also volunteered to tow us girls to look for d shark after everyone had gotten off d boat. d current was a lil strong but i felt safe because i was holding on to d floater and had someone pull me around. we went around more table corals, paddling as hard as we could because d guy didnt stop to even breathe but in d end failed to find d sharks. as much as i was scared to face d sharks, i was even more dissapointed because there weren't anytin great underneath at dat point. then it was back to d boat.

otw back, we stopped again at d turtle point. like earlier, d boat slowed down and someone gave a thumb up and every living thing on d boat, including myself, jumped into d water trying to catch d turtle, with d help of our instructor. we paddled very hard because itd b really sad if we missed it since we've came all d way and furthermore, twice to d area. d water was a lil murky when i snorkeled which might have been caused by all d splashes when everyone jumped in. despite dat, we swam and snorkelled hoping to get a glimpse of d turtle altho id totally freak out if i see one (yes, im confuse - nak tp tkut). for a while der i tot i saw a small one underneath d murky water but when i asked ana, she said she didnt see it, perhaps it was sumtin else. swimming back to d boat tis time my arms felt sore due to d friction on my skin against d life jacket.

snorkeling trip was a dissapointment because der wasnt really anything scary or exciting. wen we got back at d resort, we went straight for lunch then wen to our balcony to play cards until we were nearly dried. since we had planned to bathe in d sea dat eve, we didnt shower after d many dips we had earlier.

to be cont.
