d long awaited vacation finally arrived, and perhaps i shud start planning for d next quarter, rasa x puas je with d 3d2n package we went on recently. destination was perhentian island (pulau kecil) in terengganu but tis time we went by air up to kota bharu and took a van service to d jetty, which is supposed to be less tiring, and was proven effective.

day 1
for most of us, our day started as early as 3am because we had to take d 5am bus from kl sentral to lcct in order to catch our flight at 740am (and to check in at least an hour before d flight). thanks to my dad for his kindness for agreeing to wake up as early as me and send me and frens to kl sentral. wen we got der, we had early bfast at mcD and wen some of us were done, we went down to check on d bus as it was nearing 5am dat time. to my surprise, d bus was 3/4 full but d conductor said der was enough seats for 7 of us. 4 of us went on d bus first and while waiting for d other 3 frens, d bus was packed. ana, adie n asrul had to take d 530am bus. d whole way i was worried firstly because d driver was driving like mad and secondly, i was worried my 3 frens would miss d flight. wen we arrived at lcct, we tried to check in for d group but we needed everybody's id but we only haf ours. d suspense made me feel like i was in a race or sumtin (amazing race maybe?). im jus grateful d other 3 frens made it on time.

d weather was good for a flight dat morning, no air pockets or such and we arrived in kb 10mins earlier than scheduled. ghani, our driver for d day was waiting at d arrival gate holding a paper with my name spelled "zehirah" (cis!). we arrived a few mins before 9 and since d journey was only gonna take "45mins", i was a lil relaxed because d boat ride wasnt until 10am and we had a few mins to spare. when all hopped onto d van and our 45mins journey started, it was like a death ride! how fast can you drive on a trunk road? tis guy, ghani surely was like hell breaks loose. nvm (ye ke??) dat, we got down all safe and sound at d jetty.

then it was time to hop on d boat. if u notice, der were a lot of hopping on and off, first d car ride to kl sentral, then the bus, then the plane, then d van, now d boat. anyway, boat ride took only 30mins and unlike previous island visits, tis time we had to pay for d marine park ticket at d jetty. tis is because d area around d islands (kecik & besar) is d marine park. as for d weather, it was good, not too sunny at d same time wasnt too cloudy. we got at d resort a few mins before 11, greeted with some watermelon juice and an irish guy who wanted to teach us some 'civilization'. while waiting for our rooms to be ready (2 rooms only because its quad sharing), we sat at d restaurant overlooking d sea while playing uno. believe it or not, it was quite hot and we were by d beach but we cudnt even feel d wind. i only wished for d rain to go away, not d wind ok.

after checking in into our rooms, we went down to have lunch and shortly after, went up to get ready for our first snorkeling trip (ye ke?) as it was scheduled at 3. imagine d 3 o'clock sun here. pheww. it was time to bake. as we all gathered on d beach waiting for a conductor, came a guy in a skimpy swimming trunk. phewittt! (read: bluekkk). meet our conductor cum instructor, as it wasnt really a snorkeling trip wer u go on boats n jump off sumwer in d middle of d island, instead it was a swimming lesson beneath d jetty. equipped with our snorkeling gear and life jacket, we snorkeled a lil and saw some fish but i didnt go far as der were a lot of sharp rocks underneath and since it wasnt so deep, i was stepping all over it.

wen were done bathing in d sea, we went up to shower and change. did i mentioned we were given 4 meals a day? lepas mandi, it was tea time. der was karipap, fried noodle, bubur jagung and keropok lekor. ana, adie and asrul (notice d 3 A's) went on d hybrid station trail, at first i contemplated but as we were about to start d journey, i saw a lot of dragonflies then i started imagining other things i might encounter along d way so i made a u-turn. nas & kai made arrangements at d open beach massage but before dat, d four of us went walked along d 'long beach' looking for a sundry and souvenir shop. by d time we got back at d resort, it was time for nas & kai to get their back massage, and time for me and boyfie to sip on our soda by d beach. in our itinerary its called 'free and easy'.

right after dinner (wer d tom yam served dat nite was realy nice), we played some cards by d beach, and otw up to our rooms later we met gecko, d average sized lizard (but besar gila ok, d head is d size of my fist!). kelam kabut sket before bed because we were afraid itd enter our rooms thru d toilet windows but drowned in exhaustion, me and ana had d perfect slumber (ana tdo xde gerak2) and i wasnt aware of watever happened next door nor next bed (nas woke up a few times due to cramping in her leg).
