last week i received an email instuction on wat to do in a lift emergency, which had me thinking how terrifying dat situation would be should it really happen.

so quarter to noon earlier, i tot i should go to the ladies before going out to lunch, but the washroom on my office floor in closed for cleaning, which means i have to go two floors up to go the next available washroom and so i pressed the up button at the lift. i waited til one lift opened, and there were two ladies going up as well. as the door closes, i pressed the number 18 but then there was no light on all floor buttons, and we cud all feel dat d lift was actually heading down!!!!

back to the email i received regarding the lift emergency, it says to press all (lower ) floor buttons so that when d generator power kicks in, it would stop at any these floors (before hitting ground!!!) and i tried following dat particular instruction. lucky for me, der were other people in the same lift otherwise i wudve gone totally hysterical because the buttons weren't lighting up like its supposed to!!!

within a split second, d lift made a nice stop at the lobby which means d lift wasnt crashing or anything when i was inside, only d building authority was running the fire alarm test where all lifts would automatically land at d lobby (safely).

had d lift crashed earlier, i wudnt be here to do tis post but please dear God, forbid such incidences because i have people to take care of....
