for the past 2 years that i've been working on jalan tun razak, never have i visited one of the most talked about restaurant, which is only 5mins walk fr my office. every single time i hesitated fearing the worst - pretentious and lousy food but would cost a fortune. i'm easily disappointed by my meals if you're wondering.
but while nadiah, hanan and myself was discussing lunch, we thought we'd gift delicious a shot (it's my first time and nadiah's too). 5mins into walking we got there, and since we were quite early, there were still aplenty seats available. although the service is a lil slow prolly because it's lunch time, we managed to place our orders in less than half an hour.
all three of us ordered the same - carbonara spaghettini since hanan talked highly of it and since im no miss-adventurous, i ordered the safe food. hanan's drink sounded very dramatic "death by iced chocolate" and nadiah was playing a lil too safe and ordered "soda rose" (none other than air sirap ada gas) and after contemplating between "raspberry cooler" and "frosty lychee & lime", i went with the second option.
as usual, our drinks arrived first. first sip into my drink i tot it's definitely one of the best tasting and thirst quenching drink i've ever tasted. simply delish! if i ever return to the restaurant soon, i'd definitely order the same because it's slightly frosted, with a dash of lime and peppermint but the combination of lychee really brings our the taste in all the ingredients. i'm gonna say it again, sedap! (refer above picture: first from left is the frosty lychee & lime).
where food is concerned, i'd give my carbonara 4 out of 5 stars (80% rating) because it's nice, and the cream wasn't too heavy but it's definitely not something you should eat by yourself (muak ok!) so i'll keep reminding myself dat. and also, i've tasted a slightly better carbonara at cititel penang road, which is heavenly. it's hard to be at par with something great they say and i've yet to taste anything nicer than the one penang.
ok, overall, i'd still go back to delicious prolly for a few other lunches and also for celebrations with family and friends.
