for the past two days, i couldn't stop complaining of how sleep deprived i was which was a spillover from the weekend. and yes, it was a hectic one. but then when i tot about it again, weekend was rather fun.
to begin with, i got up at 630am on a saturday morning mainly because i couldn't sleep so i started getting ready to attend a kenduri (tahlil) at my aunt's and followed by an engagement of my uncle's niece. sometime around 8, we left the house and made a quick stop to refuel the car as well as our own tanks at mcD. breakfast was really disappointing because we got only a few sachet of creamers which is not meant for 3 coffees and they forgot to throw in some chili sauce for our muffins. great. nvm that, the journey continues.

we reached my aunt's at 908, and lingered around for an hour before people started flooding the place. got to help a lil, plus it was really awkward because it wasn't my cousin who's getting engaged, it was my cousin's cousin from her dad's side instead. so my sister and i stayed in my cousin's room most of the time staring at the ceiling until lunch time, mainly because we both felt sluggish dat morning. after Zohor, we left for home.

earlier during the week, i had planned with Geng Tioman to meet up to discuss our upcoming getaway and i anticipated a long nite so when i got home i tried forcing myself to sleep but it didn't work at all. so at home i had to kill a few hours before i freshened up to go out to dinner. although still sluggish, i was looking forward to see my people.
that night at 8 we gathered at black canyon coffee for dinner. while waiting for faiz and hubby, and also since my latest craze for sushi, i tried to convince nas to try it (sushi) since sushi king was right across the restaurant and she agreed to try some so my bf and i went over to buy half dozen of tuna-mayo sushi and "abracadabra" nas downed the sushi effortlessly! the male counterpart, except for my bf, stayed away from the jap delicacy and instead just enjoyed their black canyon dish. there was so much to talk about that nite, we stayed right until the eatery closed.
since we couldnt get enough of each other, we decided we'd go for a round of singing which actually lasted for another 2 hours. by the time we finished singing, the mall was closed as it was already half past midnite, and getting to the car was very (VERY) tricky. we all parked our cars at different entrances, but all the entrances we tried to exit was closed and there was nobody to guide us so we went up and down quite a lot of stairs trying to get to our cars and by d time we found an exit, the parking area was so dark!

30mins of running around in a mall getting to our cars made us rather thirsty so we hit a famous mamak down in wangsa maju for some snack and drinks. we chatted some more, drank some and ate some until it was 2am and it was time to go home and hit the sacks. saturday was super long for me but it was great especially meeting Geng Tioman but unfortunately, ana and adie was in penang for their reception.

as i was trying to catch on some (beauty) sleep, my sister couldn't find a better time but to wake me at 950 the next morning because my father had gotten us breakfast and she said to eat it while its hot. how i wish i had fallen back to sleep but that wasn't the case. another sluggish day for me as i felt everything was in slow-mo.
right after lunch, my bf and i decided to catch Knight and Day at capsquare. soon after we got our tickets, we went down the escalator when i heard somebody called my name. i turned around and i saw my ex-housemate, nurul! of all person and of all places, i least expected to see her there because she lives in johor, and capsquare?? reallly? it doesnt get any interesting than tis. plus, she has definitely lost some pounds and looking pretty!

as for the movie, it was great because Tom Cruise still has his charms (and good looks) and the storyline was more believable compared to Killers in my honest opinion. right after, my bf insisted we have our anniversary dinner so we headed to MFM at klcc. gifts were exchanged way earlier so this was purely to sharing more quality time together. thanks dear, and looking fwd to more great years with u...
my "bottomless pit"
before we headed home, i went into the departmental store and accidentally bought myself a treat i've been wanting for so long. before i did more damage to my purse, we had to exit the mall the soonest possible and go home. all in all, this was such a bloody long write up because too many things had taken place over a 2day weekend but who would've imagined rite?
